Charitable and Community Service

The Principle of Benefit calls us to serve others.

We become better men when we serve others, thereby supporting our pursuit of the ideal of Manhood.

We enhance our pursuit of the ideal of Brotherhood when we pursue service to others together as a Fraternity.

We exemplify our ideal of Citizenship when serving those in need.

Sigma Tau Gamma Service Standards:

• A minimum of one major service project per semester (this project may involve a series of service commitments that when combined equal a major project.)

• A minimum of 10 hours of service per member per semester.

Learn more about organizing charitable service projects in the manual Programs Division.

Outstanding chapter service is recognized with the Robert Nagel Jones Charitable Projects Award.

Report your project and member service hours at: Sig Tau Benefit

Service hours are also reported to the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) as a part of the NIC Standards program.
